@HerdSB Drops C-USA Quarterfinal Against UAB

MIAMI -- No. 5 seed Marshall softball (35-15, 14-9 C-USA) was defeated 3-1 by No. 4 seed UAB (32-18, 15-7 in the Quarterfinal of the Conference USA Championship.
AGAINST THE BLAZERS
UAB would score the first run of the game with a single by Jojo Fallen, which scored Sara Beth Williamson to make the score 1-0.
The Blazers would make the score 3-0 with a two run homer by Hayley Davis to center field.
Marshall did not score a run until the top of the sixth, when junior Raquel Escareno singled to bring home freshman Elicia D'Orazio and make the score 3-1.
However, that would be the only one that Marshall brought across, as UAB would hold on for the 3-1 win.
