HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - The Marshall men's soccer team embarks on a two-game road trip with a non-conference match at Radford on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
The Herd has won four straight regular-season matches against the Highlanders, dating to 2004. The series is tied 4-4-2 overall.
HAVE YOU HERD?
Marshall lost a close Conference USA opener to Kentucky on Saturday. Napo Matsoso's curling shot from outside the box beat Marshall keeper Bijan Gloston (Clarksville, Tenn.) in the 78th minute, giving Kentucky the 1-0 win.
The Herd has dropped its last two contests, but previously had a four-game winning streak. The Herd is also searching for its first goal since the 3-1 victory against Robert Morris on Sept. 11.
Marshall's back line has produced solid numbers recently, allowing just one goal per contest in the last four games.
SCOUTING THE HIGHLANDERS
Radford is 4-1-1, winning two of its last three contests. The Highlanders have a balanced offense, with eight players accounting for the team's 11 goals. Jamie Summers, Finn Tiedemann and Sivert Daehlie lead the team with two goals apiece. Jakob Strandsater is the assist leader, with two.
Mark Reeves is in his sixth season with Radford. He was named Big South Coach of the Year in 2014 after winning the conference title.
