Diver Madison Young Signs with Herd

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. -- Marshall University diving coach Andrew Helmich announced Tuesday that diver Madison Young has signed a National Letter of Intent with Marshall swimming and diving. Young is a senior at Freedom High School in Bethlehem, Pa. She is a member of the Boardbenders Dive Club, coached by Cindy O'Donnell.
"I am thrilled to have the opportunity to continue my education and compete for Marshall University," Young said. "I know that this program has what it takes to make me the best student-athlete possible and I am excited to see what the future holds."
Young is an AAU National Qualifier. She also holds the Freedom High School diving record and is a Level 9 USA gymnast.
"Madison is exactly the type of student-athlete that we want here at Marshall University," Helmich said. "She is talented, hard-working and intelligent. I know that the athletes as well as the coaching staff are excited about her being a part of this team and I am certain that the future holds big things for Madison."
Young is the third member of the Marshall University swimming and diving recruiting Class of 2020.
