Dan D'Antoni, head coach
On both teams' performance:
"I'd never thought I'd look down at a stat sheet and see zero fast breaks by both teams. That tells you how good the defenses were for both teams."

On Marshall's shooting performance:
"We scored 82 points, a lot of points against a team like that, but it was a grind 82. Sometimes you have those easy, free-flowing 82s, but every shot we got was difficult. To get 82 points against this team speaks highly of our team."

On tonight's crowd:
"We're getting a good student crowd, who'll keep coming and who will enjoy being with each other and having a good feeling for where we are at Marshall, where we live in Huntington, and the state of West Virginia."

On Ryan Taylor's performance:
"The ROTC gives us a pin for our 'warrior of the game,' and he got it tonight, and he deserved it. Ryan has been an outstanding player for a long time and still has one more good one in him, so I'm proud of him and we need him."

On keeping teams' 3-point percentage low:
"That's our goal the whole time, is to not give up layups, not to foul and put it at the foul line, and to take away their threes. Contested twos aren't going to kill us, if you look at the stats, you'll see they had us at contested twos in the paint, but that's not what decided the game."

Ryan Taylor, junior forward
On what Marshall did well tonight:
"We just played good defense. We knew [Trey] Freeman was a heck of a player coming in. Stevie [Browning] and Jon [Elmore], they did a great job tonight on him. We just had to keep the bigs off the boards."

On any changes he made since the last game (Charlotte, Feb. 18):
"Only thing different, I shaved my beard down a little bit. Maybe that was it but I mean for me it's just playing hard without fouling and not getting ones early."

Jon Elmore, sophomore guard
On the importance of the win:
"This win was huge for us. In the back of our head we know what other teams are doing but really we're focused on us. I think everyone in here believes we're going to control our own destiny on where we finish so we're just going to keep concentrating on what we have to do and keep trying to win games."

Stevie Browning, junior guard
On Old Dominion's Trey Freeman:
"We had faith in each other that we could all do our part to make sure that he doesn't go for 37 again."

"I mean the whole offense goes around him and we really keyed in especially with our bigs helping on the screens and stuff and it kind of took him out of that and it forced other people to try to make plays."
