Seretharan Reaches Top 5 in First Round

HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. - Marshall redshirt freshman Sarfina Seretharan (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia) sits in the top 5 at the Bearcats Spring Classic after shooting a 5-over-par 77 at El Campeon Golf Course on Friday.
Seretharan is four strokes behind the individual leader, heading into the second round on Saturday. She is tied with Tara Liebert of Cincinnati and Pader Her of Akron. As a team, the Herd is tied for seventh with Nova Southeastern at 325.
ON THE LEADERBOARD
Akron leads the team standings at 313, one stroke ahead of host Cincinnati. The Zips' Danielle Nicholson is tied with Oklahoma City's Anna Mikish for the individual lead at 1-over 73.
