Herd Sits Two in Top 10 at Bearcats Spring Classic

HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. - Marshall golfers Leigha Holt (Holly Springs, N.C.) and Sarfina Seretharan (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia) sit in a tie for eighth place in a field of 102 individuals through two rounds at the Bearcats Spring Classic at El Campeon Golf Course on Saturday.
The pair are tied with three other golfers at 11-over-par 155, six strokes out of first place. Holt improved her first-round score by five strokes, shooting a 3-over 75 on the second day to lead the Herd. As a group, Marshall shaved seven strokes off its Friday round to tie for eighth place in the team standings at 643.
ON THE LEADERBOARD
Host Cincinnati leads the field at 626, three strokes ahead of Akron. The Zips' Danielle Nicholson splits the individual lead with Cynthia Bounleutay of Seminole State at 5-over 149.

Birdies are out there on the course, the key is just minimizing mistakes. As a team, tomorrow we need everyone to post a solid score so we can move up on the leaderboard.
