HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - Marshall softball Coach Shonda Stanton announced the signing of junior college transfer Eloise Tribolet (Meyzieu, France) from Gulf Coast State College in Florida on Thursday. Tribolet also plays for the French National Team.

Tribolet will be a junior for Marshall after two stellar seasons for the Commodores. Gulf Coast won 62 games during her tenure. She collected 117 hits and batted .405, including leading the team with 77 hits and hitting .440 as a sophomore.

One of the biggest aspects of Tribolet's game is her speed. She ranked ninth in the nation with 52 stolen bases in 53 games.

"With the graduation of KG (Kaelynn Greene), we were looking to add depth to our outfield and speed game," Stanton said. "Eloise is the right fit; she has been well-coached at Gulf Coast and with her international playing experience, she is a confident and competitive athlete. I appreciate the hard work from both Coach Kendall Fearn and Coach Chanda Bell in signing Eloise to the Herd softball family."

Tribolet this season was named All-Panhandle Conference first team, NFCA All-South Region second team and a NFCA All-America second team.

The speedy outfielder recently led the French National Team, hitting .375 at the Fourth Torneo Della Republica, June 1-5, in Italy, where future Herd teammate Elicia D'Orazio played for Team Puerto Rico.
