WILLIAMSBURG, Va. -The Marshall women's soccer team closes out its non-conference schedule at the William & Mary Tribe, Sunday, Sept. 18 at 2 p.m.
HAVE YOU HERD?
Marshall is 2-3-2 this season after falling to the WKU Hilltoppers 1-0 to open Conference USA play. The Herd dropped its first two games at Purdue and Michigan, but since are 2-1-2 with wins over Longwood and East Tennessee State. Marshall also finished at a 2-2 draw with IUPUI. This will open up a series of four straight away games for the Herd.
Senior Sydney Arnold and freshman Jordan Sackaris have combined to score seven of the Herd's 10 goals in 2016. Sackaris scored a goal in each of the first three games of the season and again in the 3-0 win over ETSU. Arnold had scored a goal in three consecutive matches. Junior Emily Moreland has played the majority of the year in goal for the Herd logging 631 minutes and 55 seconds out of a possible 670 minutes. Moreland has allowed 10 goals and has 22 saves.
SCOUTING THE TRIBE
William & Mary is 5-3 this season, with four wins out of the past six games. The Tribe has been at home for three of its last five games. William & Mary has wins against VCU, UNC Greensboro, Old Dominion, DePaul and East Carolina. The Tribe losses have been to Maryland, Virginia Tech and High Point.
Six different players have scored a goal this season for William & Mary. The team is led by junior Rachel Moore and redshirt freshman Sarah Segan, with both boasting four goals and one assist. Segan has collected four points in her last three games, while Moore has four points in her last four games. Junior Grace Smith has been the lone goalkeeper for the Tribe this season having played all 732 minutes and 10 seconds of William & Mary's season.
SERIES HISTORY
Sunday will be the second ever meeting between Marshall and William & Mary. The Tribe lead the series with a 1-0 record. The only time these schools met was in 2011 at the VCU Tournament in Richmond, Va. The Tribe won 4-0.

Marshall will hit the road for a Thursday evening conference match at North Texas in Denton, Texas. That contest is scheduled for an 8 p.m. kickoff.
