WILLIAMSBURG, Va. -- The Marshall women's tennis team wrapped up play at the Tribe Invite hosted by William and Mary Sunday. Junior Stephanie Smith picked up the lone win for the Herd.
The Herd played just a singles contest against Old Dominion Sunday morning. Marshall was able to win just one of the seven singles matches played against the Lady Monarchs. Smith rallied after dropping her first set in a tiebreak against Marijana Novakovic to win in three sets, 6-7, 6-0, 6-0. Rachael Morales dropped a close match to Nataliya Vlasova, 6-4, 6-4. Nikola Novackova fell to Holly Hutchinson, 6-3, 6-1. Daniela Dankanych lost to Ingrid Vojcinakova, 6-4, 6-0. Marija Bogicevic also lost in straight sets against Adriana Rajkovic, 7-5, 6-0. Anna Pomyatinskaya and Maddie Silver both retired in the first set of their respective matches.
