1972 Herd Hoops to be Reunited

Huntington, WV -- M Club will be holding a reunion for the 1971-72 Marshall Men's Basketball team that finished 12th in the nation with a 23-4 record. The Thundering Herd team recorded just one loss in the Veterans Memorial Fieldhouse that season and boasts four Marshall University Athletics Hall of Fame members: Mike D'Antoni, Russell Lee, Randy Noll and Tyrone Collins.
The reunion festivities will span over a two day period. The `72 team will meet at Marshall Hall of Fame Café on Friday, January 20th for a dinner reception. They will then be treated to a tour of Marshall's new athletic facilities the following Saturday. The celebratory weekend will conclude with a pregame reception for the men's basketball contest against Western Kentucky, Saturday night. The team will be honored during the game.
