El Paso, Texas - A first half strike from UTEP's Anna Jimmerson and second half penalty kick from Aylin Vilalobos sunk the Marshall women's soccer team, 2-0, on Thursday night at University Stadium in El Paso, Texas.

Marshall tried to break the deadlock in the opening two minutes with strikes from freshman Molly Preston and sophomore Jordan Sackaris, but neither shot found the back of the net. UTEP gained the 1-0 advantage at the 11:00 mark when Cayla Payne's throw in found Jimmerson, who buried the shot.
