Live Scoring
KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. – The Marshall women's golf team is at the Palmetto Intercollegiate, Oct. 21-23. It is the final fall tournament for the Herd of the 2018-19 season.
Live scoring is provided through GolfStat.com.
"This is a great event to end our fall season and to once again go out on a positive note," Herd head coach Brooke Burkhammer said. "We need to keep the momentum going from this last tournament and continue to play well. We have players who can post a low score so we just have to keep doing that."
The Herd is coming off its third, top-two finish out of four tournaments in the fall season. Sophomore Kerri Parks and junior Shelby Brauckmuller finished in a three-way tie for first place at the Maryb S. Kauth Invitational. Parks scored a career-best 67 in the first round. Marshall competed against four teams ranked in the top 100, and two in the top 50. The Herd is ranked 81st in the most recent GolfStat polls.
Playing for the Herd in the three-day event are Parks, Brauckmuller, senior Ylva Forslund, sophomore Stormy Randazzo and freshman Jackie Schmidt.
There are 18 teams competing at the Palmetto Intercollegiate. Along with Marshall the other schools are No. 34 Campbell, No. 35 College of Charleston (A and B teams), Charleston Southern, No. 47 Charlotte, Daytona State College, No. 59 Eastern Kentucky, Elon, Jacksonville State, No. 58 Kansas, No. 72 North Florida, UNC-Greensboro, Troy, Western Carolina, Wichita State, Winthrop and No. 100 Xavier.
The Palmetto Intercollegiate is played at the Turtle Point Golf Course, a par 72 and 6,005-yard course.
