Green Named Conference USA Co-Freshman of the Year

Marshall quarterback earns honor
IRVING, Tx. – Marshall quarterback Isaiah Green has been named Co-Freshman of the Year in Conference USA, the league office announced Wednesday.

Green, a Fairburn, Ga. native, places fourth in C-USA with an average of 248.7 passing yards per game. He has thrown at least one touchdown pass in all nine games he has played (eight starts), totaling 15. Green has five games with multiple touchdown tosses, with a season-high three in a win over Eastern Kentucky.

He was joined on the conference's all-freshman team by defensive lineman Darius Hodge and defensive back Steven Gilmore in an announcement that was made Tuesday.

Marshall (8-4) will play USF (7-5) in the 2018 Bad Boy Mowers Gasparilla Bowl on Thursday, December 20 at 8 p.m. ET in a contest that will be carried by ESPN.
