Herd Swimming And Diving To Compete at Conference USA Championships

HUNTINGTON, W.Va.-Marshall University Swimming and Diving travels to Atlanta to compete in the 2018 Conference USA Swimming and Diving Championships beginning Wednesday, February 21 at the Georgia Tech Aquatic Center.

The four day meet begins Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. ET. The meet gets underway with the 200-yard medley relay. 16 swimming and two diving championship competitions will take place by the conclusion of the meet on Saturday evening.

The meet features five other Conference USA schools with swimming and diving programs alongside Marshall: FIU, Florida Atlantic, North Texas, Old Dominion, and Rice. FIU enters the meet the three-time defending champions.

Last season at the Conference USA Championships, Marshall finished third with a school record 724 points. Sophomore Catherine Bendziewicz enters the meet as the defending individual champion in the 200 IM, a race she won as a freshman last season with a time of 1:59.29.
