Brauckmuller Tabbed with All-Conference Honors

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - Sophomore women's golfer Shelby Brauckmuller has earned All-Conference USA honors, the league announced Friday.
"I'm proud of Shelby and this is a great way to end the season," head coach Brooke Burkhammer said. "Shelby worked really hard this year and it's wonderful to see her get recognition. She's only a sophomore, so I'm excited to see her growth as a student-athlete here at Marshall."
Brauckmuller, who was named to the league's third team, is the first Marshall golfer to be recognized by the league since Sarah Helly during the 2014-15 season. Brauckmuller and Helly are also the only Herd women's golfers to earn All-Conference USA honors in program history.
This is the second consecutive year the sophomore has been recognized by the league, as she was last season's C-USA Freshman of the Year. This year, Brauckmuller had a team-best 75.93 stroke average, was MU's top finisher in three tournaments, earned one runner-up finish, had four top 10 finishes and five top 15 finishes. Her best score after 54 holes was a 221 at the Starmount Forest Fall Classic, while her best round was a 2-under 70 in the second round of the Palmetto Intercollegiate.
