HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - The Marshall softball team is hosting three different camps for the month of June on Monday. The Thundering Herd will hold a June Mini Herd Camp (June 11-13), Advanced Hitting and Pitching Camp (June 18) and a Prospect Camp (June 19-20).
The Mini Herd Camp, on June 11-13, is open to players in third through seventh grades. It is an all day camp from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Dot Hicks Field. The all-inclusive camp will include both defensive and offensive instruction, as well as live events. The camp is ideal for either the beginning player or the softball player who has been playing for a few years as our coaches can tailor to individual needs. Next is the Advanced Hitting and Pitching Clinic on June 18. The one-day camp offers pitching instruction from 2-4 p.m. and hitting lessons from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Registration for the clinic is available online.
The final June camp is the Prospect Camp on June 19-20. The camp is limited to 100 participants from eighth grade and up, and will offer offensive, defensive, pitching and catching instruction at Dot Hicks Field. Registration is also available online.
