CHARLOTTE - The Marshall softball team prepares to begin the Conference USA Tournament on Wednesday against the WKU Hilltoppers at 12 p.m. from Charlotte. The Thundering Herd is the No. 5 seed and the Hilltoppers are the No. 8 seed.
The first round of the tournament is single elimination. The winner between Marshall and WKU returns to the field at 5 p.m. to take on No. 4 Louisiana Tech. The winner advances to the double elimination portion of the tournament on Thursday.
Fans can tune in to the game on C-USA's Youtube page. All of Marshall's games will also be broadcast on 88.1 WMUL-FM and online at www.marshall.edu/wmul through one of the Listen Live links. All links for the tournament can be found on the Tournament Central Page.
Marshall finished the season 25-28-1 with a doubleheader sweep over Middle Tennessee at Dot Hicks Field on senior day this past Sunday. WKU ended the year 27-25 with a split against FIU.
