HUNTINGTON, W.Va. -- Marshall University Swimming and Diving has been named a College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-American Team, yet again.
To earn the honor, teams were required to post a GPA of 3.0 or higher for the 2018 Fall Semester.
The Thundering Herd's GPA last semester was 3.53.
"Our staff is incredibly proud of our women for their work in the classroom," said head coach Ian Walsh. "As a program, we have always taken great pride in being our best, both academically and athletically. Our administration and student-athlete academic advisors continue to play a vital role in our success. We are grateful to have world-class academic facilities for all student-athletes to use during their time here at Marshall.
"Academic excellence is a long-standing tradition of our program and we are fortunate to have an athletic department that supports our student-athletes to be their best."
The Thundering Herd returns to the pool for competition Wednesday through Saturday (Feb. 27-Mar. 2) at the Conference USA Championships in Atlanta, Ga.
