Ramey Joins Herd Women’s Soccer for Spring Schedule

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Herd women's soccer coach Kevin Long announced the addition of early enrollee Ann Marie Ramey to the spring roster on Tuesday.

"Ann-Marie will begin with us in January and I am eager to see her make an impact," Long said. "She is physical, has good pace and works extremely hard on both sides of the ball.  We will look to use her on the attacking side of the ball where her tireless work rate can make the most impact.  She is a local player who bleeds Green and White and will give us everything she has."

Ramey, a 5-4 midfielder/forward from Hurricane, W.Va., helped lead Hurricane High School to a 2018 state championship and was named all-conference and all-region during her senior season. She was an all-state and all-Kanawha Valley honorable mention during 2015 and 2018.

Ramey also played club soccer for WVFC and was a member of four state championships teams in her time with the club.

Ramey will be immediately available to play during Marshall's 2019 spring schedule.
