HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall men's basketball will play its final exhibition of the 2019-20 season on Saturday with a 1 p.m. tilt against Rio Grande (OH) at the Cam Henderson Center.
HAVE YOU HERD
In the first exhibition on Tuesday night, redshirt freshman Cam Brooks-Harris led the way for the Herd with 19 points in its 100-66 win over Glenville State.
Junior Mikel Beyers grabbed a game-high 13 rebounds while scoring eight points and dishing out a game-high seven assists.
Taevion Kinsey and Jarod West joined Brooks-Harris in double-figures with 14 and 12 respectively.
Redshirt freshman Jeremy Dillon had a game-high four assists, while redshirt junior Jannson Williams led the way with a pair of blocks.
Marshall lost 56 percent of its scoring (1,692 of 2,978 points) from Jon Elmore (750), C.J. Burks (654), Rondale Watson (270) and Christian Thieneman (18).
The Herd is coming of it just its second postseason title after capturing the 2019 CollegeInsider.com Tournament crown.
RIO GRANDE
The RedStorm finished last season with a 12-19 overall record while going 6-11 River States Conference action.
Senior Cameron Schreiter returns as the team's leading scorer averaging with 13.3 points per game and second in rebounds with 6.6 boards per game. Schreiter was named to the RSC preseason all-conference list for the 2019-20 season.
