Thundering Herd Heads to Liberty Invite

LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Marshall swimming and diving team will travel to Lynchburg, Virginia this weekend to compete in the 2019 Liberty University TYR '85 Invite. The three-day event begins with preliminaries Friday morning at 10 a.m. Finals for day one and two will begin at 6 p.m., with Sunday finals beginning at 5 p.m. This will be Marshall's first time attending this invitational hosted by Liberty University.

"Our coaching staff is looking forward to watching our women perform against eight very competitive programs across the east coast. Four of the eight teams won their conference last year as well as sending multiple swimmers to the NCAA Championships. The format will be very similar to what we will experience at the C-USA Championships."

"As a team, we had a very productive fall semester of training. We are excited for our women to showcase all the hard work they have put in over the course of the past two and half months. Our hope is to put ourselves in a great position leading into December and continue to make improvements leading into our competition phase this spring."
