Tyler Brown Named to C-USA All-Academic Team

Huntington native earns honor
IRVING, Tx. -- Marshall linebacker Tyler Brown has been named to Conference USA's All-Academic team, the league announced Thursday afternoon.
Brown, a Huntington native, is the program's seventh-leading tackler this season with 45 stops in 12 games. He also recorded a sack for a safety at Florida Atlantic. The finance major marked a 3.67 GPA and is a two-time C-USA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll member.
Marshall (8-4) will learn its bowl destination, and opponent, on Sunday afternoon. The Thundering Herd is 12-2 all-time in NCAA-sanctioned bowl games for a winning percentage of .857, a figure that is tops nationally among those schools who have competed in at least five games.
