HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall tennis looks to extend its two-match win streak on the road when it plays at New Orleans on Friday and Tulane on Saturday.

HAVE YOU HERD?
Head coach John Mercer recorded his 250th career win last week when the Herd defeated UAB, 6-1. Mercer is the only Marshall tennis coach to reach 250 wins.

Anna Smith, Liz Stefancic and Madi Ballow each went a combined 4-0 against Middle Tennessee and UAB during the Thundering Herd's sweep of the two Conference USA opponents.Â
Â
Marshall won a C-USA match for the first time since the 2017 season.
Â
Stefancic enters the weekend on a four-match singles win streak and a three-match doubles win streak. Stefancic last lost in a tiebreaker during doubles play against North Texas on March 2.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT: NEW ORLEANS
New Orleans enters the weekend with an 8-4 overall record and a 1-3 record in the Southland Conference. The Privateers play Bradley on Thursday prior to meeting the Herd.

Trang Dao and Salma Abdelrahim lead UNO with seven singles wins apiece. Dao and Ank Vullings are 7-1 in doubles play.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT: TULANE
Tulane enters the weekend with a 5-11 overall record and an 0-5 record in the American Athletic Conference. The Green Wave plays Harvard on Thursday prior to meeting the Herd.

Daniela La Fuente leads Tulane with a 6-6 record in the spring season. Elena Muller and Ivone Alvaro are 12-1 in doubles play.

SERIES HISTORY
Marshall and New Orleans have never played in tennis before. The Thundering Herd is 0-1 all-time against Tulane, with the lone previous contest coming in 2013.
