GERMANTOWN, Tenn. – The Marshall women's golf team finished the 2018-19 regular season Tuesday, at the Memphis Women's Intercollegiate at the Ridgeway Country Club. The Herd took sixth place out of 14 teams.
Sophomore Kerri Parks moved up eight spots on the leaderboard with a 2-stroke improvement in the third round. Freshman Jackie Schmidt improved by two strokes as well and moved up nine places on the leaderboard. Senior Ylva Forslund scored three strokes better in the third round from the second and moved up two places.
Junior Shelby Brauckmuller was the top finisher for the Herd in a tie for 16th overall.
No. 51 Penn State held off No. 67 Middle Tennessee by five strokes to bring home the team award. Michaela Fletcher of Memphis kept moving up the board and won the individual award after a 5-under 66 on Tuesday, and defeated Hanley Long of Middle Tennessee by one shot.
