Women’s Soccer Announces 2019 Schedule

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – 11th-year Marshall women's soccer head coach Kevin Long released the team's 2019 schedule on Tuesday. This fall's slate includes eight home matches at Hoops Family Field.
The Thundering Herd will play its first four matches of the season on the road with exhibitions at Virginia Tech (Aug. 10) and Morehead State (Aug. 15), while opening the regular season in the state of Michigan with contest at Michigan (Aug. 22) and Michigan State (Aug. 25).
Marshall returns home for a pair of home matches against Youngstown State (Aug. 30) and Ohio (Sept. 1) before heading back on the road to face Lipscomb (Sept. 6) and Vanderbilt (Sept. 8) with both games being played at Vanderbilt.
MU concludes its home portion of non-conference play with High Point (Sept. 15) with it final road con-conference action coming at Florida Gulf Coast (Sept. 22).
The Herd will play 10 games during its Conference USA slate, hosting UTEP (Sept. 26), ODU (Oct. 3), Charlotte (Oct. 6), UTSA (Oct. 13) and Western Kentucky (Nov. 1) for its season finale. The road conference includes matches at FAU (Sept. 19), at FIU (Sept. 29), at Rice (Oct. 18), at North Texas (Oct. 20) and at Louisiana Tech (Oct. 27).
