HUNTINGTON, W.Va. -- Marshall swimming and diving head coach Ian Walsh will welcome Heather Sigmon to the program this fall. Sigmon, who is a secondary education major from Greensboro, N.C., has transferred to the Thundering Herd after beginning her career at Virginia Tech. She has two years of eligibility remaining.
"We are thrilled to announce the addition of Heather Sigmon to our program," said Walsh. "When we began the process, I heard nothing but positive things regarding Heather and her family from multiple individuals in the recruiting process. She made a great first impression with our coaching staff and team members here at Marshall. She brings a wealth of experience and will add tremendous value, both athletically and academically. Heather has the ability to make a big impact individually and across our relays with both of her primary events that are less than a half-second off our school records."
