M. Abu Tayeh Named C-USA Co-Offensive Player of the Week

The senior had eight points on three goals and two assists
IRVING, Texas – Marah Abu-Tayeh was named Conference USA Co-Offensive Player of the Week after Marshall women's soccer after her performance last week in a loss to UTEP and a win at FIU, as announced by the league office on Monday.
Senior Marah Abu-Tayeh had a tremendous week for Marshall with three goals and two assists in her team's 1-1 week. In a loss to UTEP she had a goal on two shots. Then at FIU, Abu-Tayeh collected six points on two goals and two assists in a 6-0 win on the road. Her performance at FIU helped propel the Herd to its first road and conference win of the season.
Three of her six shots last week found the back of the goal. Abu-Tayeh now has a team-leading four goals and 10 points this season.
Marshall will be back in action this weekend with a pair of home contests Thursday against Old Dominion at 7 p.m. and Sunday against Charlotte at 1 p.m.
The Herd will be back in action Thursday (Sept. 19) when it opens up conference play at FAU with a first kick scheduled for 7 p.m.
