Swimming and Diving Heads to Duquesne to Open 2020

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Dukes host the Thundering to open the 2020 slate on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Towers Pool. The diving portion of the meet will begin at 10 a.m. at Carnegie Mellon University.

The Thundering Herd returns to action following their annual training camp to kick off 2020 portion of the season. The Herd last competed Nov 22-24 at the TYR 85 Liberty Invite. That weekend they posted 68 season bests, 16 Lifetime Bests and 11 All-Time Top 10 Performances.

The Dukes and Thundering Herd last squared off in 2015, with Marshall claiming a 167-94 victory. This snapped a three-meet winning streak for Duquesne.

Coach Walsh swam for Duquesne from 2006-10 for head coach David Sheets. Walsh won the 100-yard breaststroke at the 2009 Atlantic 10 Championship with a time of 55.87. The Dukes comes into Saturday's meet with a 5-1 mark in dual meet action this season.
