Tennis Announces Signee for Class of 2025

Huntington, W.Va – Marshall head tennis coach John Mercer announced the signing of Sophia Hurrion player to join the Herd on Wednesday.
Hurrion is from Dorset, United Kingdom, and attends Budmouth College (High School). She is the #1 ranked player in Dorset and competes at the National level in women's open events and U18s. In U18 she is currently ranked in the top 50.
She also represents DL Southampton in the National Club League where they were runner-up at National Finals in 2019. She has numerous regional titles, including Bristol, Salisbury and Tennis Solutions Masters. She comes from a tennis family; her brother, Millen is currently a senior at Kentucky.
Hurrion chose Marshall because, "Marshall feels like the right fit for me, I love everything about it. I'm really excited to be part of the Herd tennis team. It's definitely going to be an exciting journey that will develop me both as a person and a tennis player."
