Thundering Herd ranked 17th by AP, 16th in Coaches
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. -- The Marshall football team was ranked 17th by the Associated Press Top 25 and 16th in the Amway/USA Today Coaches Poll when the rankings were released on Sunday.
The Thundering Herd (7-0 overall, 4-0 Conference USA) was idle Saturday after Charlotte postponed the scheduled game between the two schools due to COVID-19 testing within the 49ers' program.
Marshall will be back in action Saturday, December 5 when Rice (1-2, 1-2) visits Joan C. Edwards Stadium. The kickoff time for that game will be set a later date. The Owls dropped a 27-17 decision at North Texas on Saturday.
