HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall (7-3) women's tennis faces Florida International University (3-2) Sunday, Feb. 23 at 11 a.m. in its second home dual of the weekend.
HAVE YOU HERD?
Marshall defeated North Texas 4-3 Friday in a nail biter. It was Madison Riley who secured the win after going into the third set tiebreaker.
Last week, Marshall ended the 10-match away stretch with a 6-1 win against Fordham. Anna Smith and Madison Riley both had doubles and singles wins.
Liz Stefancic and Jutte Van Hansewyck pulled off a doubles win against the No. 3 ranked doubles team in the country last weekend against Yale. Both women were named Conference USA Co-Women's Tennis Athletes of the Week.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT: FIU
The Panthers dropped its last match 4-3 to Memphis. Kamila Umarova, Basak Abas and Kristina Miletic all won their singles matches against Memphis.
SERIES HISTORY
FIU leads the series all-time 5-1 against the Herd. In the last match, FIU defeated Marshall 6-1.

Marshall women's tennis will face Winthrop and Miami (OH) next weekend in Huntington, W.Va. The Winthrop game will be played on Friday, Feb. 28 at 4 p.m. and the Miami game will be played on Sunday, March 1 at 11 a.m.
