Herd Swimming and Diving Continue to Collect Medals Friday at C-USA Championships

ATLANTA-The Marshall University women's swimming and diving team continued to rack up Conference USA awards on day three of the four-day C-USA Championship meet on Friday at the McAuley Aquatic Center at Georgia Tech.

In the 400 Medley Relay, seniors Jordyn O'Dell, Catherine Bendziewicz, Hannah Robins and junior Darby Coles finished runner up with a time of 3:40.05.

O'Dell also finished third in the 100 Backstroke event with a time of 54.30.

Freshman Lauren Henderson finished seventh in the one-meter diving event with a score of 264.70.

In the team standings, the Herd currently sits fourth with 242.5 points.

The last day of action continues Saturday morning.

The 2020 C-USA Swimming and Diving Championships will conclude Saturday with prelims starting at 10:30 a.m. ET. Day four finals will begin at 6 p.m. ET and will be streamed live on CUSA.tv.

"What a fun night for this group. We had five lifetime bests and five all-time Top 10 performances in program history. From top to bottom they did a tremendous job supporting each other and it showed through our session."

There were just many races and dives that our staff was incredibly proud of. To finish the evening with our 400 Medley Relay breaking the previous school record by over 2.5 seconds was icing the on the cake."
