Marshall Swimming and Diving to Compete at James Madison University

Last regular season meet for the Herd

HUNTINGTON, W.Va.—The Marshall University women's swimming and diving team is set to travel to Harrisonburg, Va., Saturday to face the James Madison Dukes. The dual meet is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. in Savage Natatorium.
 
JMU leads the all-time series, 5-2, with the Herd taking the last year's meet, 127-113.
 
"James Madison has been on our schedule for the past several years and it's always a fallen around this time of year leading into championship season," Marshall Head Coach Ian Walsh said. "Tomorrow should be a lot of fun."
 
Last season against the Dukes, the Herd won the 200 Yard Medley Relay (O'Dell, Bendziewicz, Robins, Coles (1:41.77), and the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay (Alexis WIlhoit, Regan RainesAdriana AbruzzinoHeather Sigmon (1:37.95) events.
 
Sophomore Alexis Wilhoit won the 200 Yard Freestyle event (1:52.17).
 
Sophomore Nicole Rueff won the 200 Yard Butterfly (2:03.74).
 
Senior Darby Coles picked up wins in the 50 Yard Freestyle (23.34) and the 100 Yard Freestyle (50.78) events.
 
"This weekend will be our final opportunity to compete before our conference championships in three weeks," Walsh said. "We're looking to see some progress in many of our details within our races and dives."
 
The meet will be streamed live on FloSports.
 
UP NEXT
 
Following its meet against JMU, the Herd will prepare for the Conference USA Championships, scheduled for Feb. 25-27 in Atlanta, Ga.
