Herd Men’s Basketball Adds Two to 2022 Signing Class

Conner and Handlogten sign with Herd
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall men's basketball head coach Dan D'Antoni announced the signings of Jacob Conner and Micah Handlogten to the team's 2022 signing class on Wednesday.
"We're very excited about two new members joining the Herd," D'Antoni said. "Jacob Conner is a 6-9 kid who can play every position. Micah Handlogten is a seven-foot, very mobile center. They are great athletes who will take the Herd into the future as talented players."

"Jacob fits the system at Marshall very well as we run a similar offense," Archbishop Alter head coach Eric Coulter said. "He has great court vision and can play all five positions. He has improved a lot with his strength and conditioning. He was also in the top five of our conference in many different statistical categories, which speaks volumes to his versatility on the court."

"The style of play Coach Dan (D'Antoni) and Marshall uses fits Micah and his skill set well," Southlake Christian Academy head coach Rodney Monroe said. "He's seven-foot, but can get up and down the court, step out and hit threes and handle the ball. He's bringing a unique skill set to Marshall. Micah is a good kid and one that is very disciplined. He'll take to coaching and likes to be coached. I think if his skill set is tapped into, not only will he be a great student, but, athletically, he could be a pro."
