Fiabema comes to Huntington from Monroe College

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall University women's soccer head coach Michael Swan announced the signing of Regina Fiabema on Wednesday to the 2022 signing class.

"We are delighted to add Regina to our squad," Swan said. "Regina is a very accomplished, composed and experienced player. To add a player with this much quality mid-semester, who can play in various roles, is fantastic! Regina is very good on the ball, confident, has great leadership qualities and has a great soccer IQ.  We met as a coaching staff at the end of the season and we outlined our intentions and needs for next season. We got out on the recruiting trail and found what we were looking for in Regina."

Fiabema, a native of Tromsoe, Norway, is transferring to Marshall from Monroe College in New Rochelle, N.Y. The defender/midfielder started and played in all 13 of the Mustangs matches last season. Fiabema scored three goals on six shots and played in 643 minutes.

As a freshman in 2019, she tallied five goals on 17 shots as she appeared in 11 contests, including 10 starts.
