DADE CITY, Fla. – The Marshall women's golf team closed out the 2021 spring season on Wednesday in the final round of the Conference USA Championships, played at the Lake Jovita Golf and Country Club.
The Thundering Herd finished in 10th.
"Thankful for senior leadership this tournament," Herd head coach Brooke Burkhammer said. "Stormy (Randazzo) took her game to the next level and Kerri (Parks) had a tremendous career at Marshall. I'm so excited for the future of Marshall women's golf. I saw glimpses of that future in this tournament. Time to work and get better for the fall season."
Senior Stormy Randazzo was the top finisher for Marshall coming in 29th. Randazzo shot par or better on 43 of the 54 holes. The Rowlett, Texas native never missed an event in her Herd career, playing in 32 tournaments including all five for the 2021 spring season. She scored a career-best 69 twice, and was named Conference USA Women's Golfer of the Week once. Randazzo was also named to the C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll three times, and is line to make it four-for-four this year as a journalism major.

Parks missed just one event in her Marshall career, playing in 31-of-32 tournaments, and had nine top 10 finishes with one win. The Flushing, Mich., native was named to the Conference USA All-Academic team twice in her career in 2019 and 2021. Parks is also a three-time member of the Commissioner's Honor Roll as well as a three-time recipient of the Academic Medal, and is on pace to make it four-for-four as a chemical sciences major.
Junior Jackie Schmidt dropped her score by seven strokes in the third round of the C-USA Championships and moved up eight places on the leaderboard. Schmidt finished with a season-best 2-over 74 to lead the Herd on the final day, and collected four birdies. Fellow junior Torren Kalaskey had three birdies on Wednesday.
