Banton Named C-USA Swimmer of the Week

The sophomore took the 200 Breaststroke in a dual at Ohio
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall University swimming and diving student-athlete Paige Banton was named Conference USA Swimmer of the Week on Wednesday, as announced by the league office.
The sophomore won the 200 Breaststroke in a dual at Ohio with a time of 2:21.11 while also finishing second in the 100 Breaststroke (1:05.46) and third in the Individual Medley (2:11.48). The Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada, native was also a member of the 200 Medley Relay squad that placed third at the meet.
Herd swimming and diving is back in action today (Jan. 12) at 4 p.m. against the No. 13 Kentucky Wildcats in Lexington.
