Bull, McLatchey in Top 20 after First Two Rounds at Pirate Collegiate Classic

GREENVILLE, N.C. – The Marshall University women's golf team concluded the first two rounds at the Pirate Collegiate Classic in seventh on Monday in Greenville, North Carolina.

"Overall it was a good day for us," Herd women's golf head coach Brooke Burkhammer said. "I saw many good things and everyone contributed. I was really happy to see that. Tomorrow, we have a chance to climb the leaderboard and continue to be competitive."

Sophomore Emily McLatchey finished the first round with a team-best one-under par 71 with three birdies as freshman Abbey Bull concluded the opening 18 holes even-par (72).

Junior Hanna Shrout eagled the final hole of her opening round on the ninth and freshman Olivia Kochan finished the first round three-over par (75).

Senior Makena Rauch shot a three-over par 75 during the second round.
