Both Herd Tennis Doubles Pairings Advance to Round of 32 at ITA Atlantic Regional

Herd takes three of its five matches on day two
BLACKSBURG, Va. – Marshall University tennis had a big day on Friday at the ITA Atlantic Regional seeing the doubles pairings of Emma Vanderheyden/Johanna Strom and Gabrielle Clairotte/Rieke Gillar advancing to the round of 32.
It was a good day of singles and doubles," Herd tennis head coach John Mercer said. "We picked up some nice wins and fought hard in our loses. Looking forward to some good competition tomorrow."
Strom reached the round of 32 in singles after taking her first match of the day against Gabriela Giraldo in a three-battle after taking the third in a tiebreak in the round of 64, but fell in the round of 32 later in the day to Penn State's Yvonna Zufova.
