HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The ninth-ranked Marshall University men's soccer team (11-3-4) heads to Bloomington, Indiana, to take on the 13th-seeded Indiana Hoosiers (11-4-6) on Sunday in the third round of the 2022 NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Tournament.

Freshman Matthew Bell tallied his Sun Belt Conference leading 10th goal of the season at Virginia. The Jamaican forward also leads Marshall with 24 points.

With nine assists, junior Adam Aoumaich ranks second among student-athletes in the Sun Belt.

The Herd has been steady in net with graduate student goalkeeper Oliver Semmle. Semmle has recorded six shutouts during the 2022 season to go with a .723 goals against average and a .768 save percentage.

Marshall has been ranked in every United Soccer Coaches Poll since October 15, 2019.

The Hoosiers defeated St. Louis 1-0 in the second round.

Indiana averages the sixth most fouls per match at 8.83.

IU's Ryan Wittenbrink ranks 15th in the nation with 26 points on nine goals and eight assists.

Series History
The Marshall leads the all-time series 1-0 with the only meeting coming in the College Cup Final in which Jamil Roberts scored the game-winning goal in overtime.
