Herd returns home after three-game road swing
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall University men's basketball team (9-2) returns to the Cam Henderson Center after a three-game road trip to take on the Toledo Rockets (7-3) on Saturday afternoon.

The Herd saw its nine-game win streak come to an end at UNCG on Tuesday in a 75-67 loss.
Fifth-year senior Taevion Kinsey is the only player in the country averaging at least 20 points, five rebounds and five assists. The Columbus, Ohio, native ranks seventh in the country in points scored with 233 through 11 games and has seven games of 20 or more points this season.
Freshman Micah Handlogten has 116 rebounds this season, fifth most in Division I men's basketball and 15th in blocks at 27.
As a team, Marshall sits in the top 10 nationally in a few statistics as it ranks sixth in offensive rebounds per game (14.91), seventh in rebounds per game (42.55), eighth in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.60) and ninth in assists per game (18.6).
SCOUTING TOLEDO
The Rockets are coming off a 69-68 victory over Canisius on Saturday. Toledo was tabbed to finish second behind Kent State in the 2022-23 Mid-American Conference Men's Basketball Preseason Poll.
RayJ Dennis leads the MAC in assist-to-turnover ratio at 2.81 and assists per game with 5.9 while averaging 19.1 points per contest, second most on Toledo.
JT Shulmate is averaging a MAC-best 19.5 points game as he's shooting 56.9 percent from the field.
