PREGAME NOTES
Coach Kemper's Marshall side had a quiet week of competition following four games during the week of Thanksgiving. Last Sunday, the Herd nearly mounted a large comeback, before falling to Duquesne, 77-72.
Junior guard Roshala Scott leads the team with 17.2 points per game. She finished with 23 points in the Duquesne contest alongside junior guard Abby Beeman, who also scored 23 against the Dukes. Beeman is the other member of the Herd averaging double figures scoring, (13.2 PPG).
Beeman, the Ridgeley, West Virginia native, also leads the team with 5.8 rebounds per game,Â
Freshman Sydni Scott made her mark in the Duquesne contest. The Prospect Park, Pennsylvania native made three 3-point field goals in the first half. Sydni Scott has made seven shots from behind the arc this season.
Marshall is 3-3 for the season, outscoring opponents 363-333. Following Sunday's game, the green and white will complete exam week, before facing a test against Wright State on Friday, December 9.Â

ABOUT THE SENATORS
Davis and Elkins enter Sunday with a 1-7 record. The Senators have a busy weekend with having played West Liberty on Saturday, before meeting the Herd Sunday.Â
D&E are led by coach Donna Carr, who is in her first season of coaching in Randolph County.Â
Leading the team offensively is sophomore guard Taylor Smith, who is averaging 13.9 points per game. The Uniontown, Pennsylvania native has made 15-three pointers this season.Â
Freshman guard Ellie Wilkerson has been efficient on the court. Wilkerson is shooting 55 percent from the field, (30-55).
The Senators are stingy, forcing 8.3 steals per game. The team's turnover ratio is 0.7.Â
SERIES HISTORY
Marshall and D&E have met once prior in the regular season. The Herd defeated the Senators, 86-72 on New Year's Eve in 2013.
