HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall University men's basketball team returns to the Cam Henderson Center for a contest against the FIU Panthers on Thursday night.

HAVE YOU HEARD
MU fell on the road to the Charlotte 49ers on Saturday, 88-64.

Redshirt sophomore Andrew Taylor poured a career-high 28 points through the hoop. He made 11 of his 21 attempts from the field.

Freshman Obinna Anochili-Killen added 15 points on the scoreboard. The Lagos, Nigeria, native also brought down a game-high eight rebounds.

In addition to setting a career-high in points, Taylor's 11 made shots and 21 attempts were also career marks.

MU was without junior Taevion Kinsey for the second time in the last three games.

The Herd made a three in its 993rd consecutive game, with the last contest without a triple occurring on Feb. 27, 1989, in a win over App State.

Anochili-Killen has had five or more rebounds in 19 contests this season, while tallying at 10 points in 18 games.

Marshall shot 53.6 percent from the field in the second half as it made 15 of its 28 attempts from the field.

The Herd outscored the 49ers in the paint 36-30.

SCOUTING FIU
The Panthers are on a two-game losing streak following a defeat at home to Charlotte 49ers on Monday night.

Tevin Brewer leads his in points per game with 15.0 and assists per game at 6.0, second most in Conference USA.

FIU has held the opposition to 41.7 percent shooting from the field during the 2021-22 campaign, fourth best in C-USA.
