Kinsey Named to Conference USA’s Second Team

Columbus, Ohio, native earns fourth C-USA post-season honor
DALLAS – Marshall University men's basketball's Taevion Kinsey was named second-team all-Conference USA on Monday, as announced by the league office.
Kinsey, a 6'5" junior guard from Columbus, Ohio, finished the regular season in the top-10 of Conference USA in several categories, including points per game (fourth, 18.8), assists per game (fourth, 4.5), offensive rebounds per game (ninth, 2.24) and assist-to-turnover ratio (10th, 1.62).
This is Kinsey's fourth C-USA post-season honor after being named to the conference's all-freshman team in 2019, third-team all-conference in 2020 and first-team all-conference in 2021.
He scored 20 or more points in 15 games this season and tallied double-figure points in 28 of his 29 games played.
The Thundering Herd (11-20, 4-12 C-USA) is back in action on Tuesday night when it plays the FIU Panthers, the East Division's sixth seed, at 7:30 p.m. ET/6:30 p.m. CT in the first round of the 2022 Conference USA men's basketball tournament in Frisco, Texas. The contest will be streamed on ESPN+.
