Herd Men’s Basketball Announces 2022 Summer Camps

Men’s hoops set to host three camps this summer

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall men's basketball will host a pair of youth camps, a team camp, and a pair of shootouts over the summer months at the Cam Henderson Center, Marshall men's basketball head coach Dan D'Antoni announced Wednesday. Campers will have the opportunity to work alongside current and former Thundering Herd players and coaches during each camp.
Herd Camp will run 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, June 20, to Wednesday, June 22, and from 9 a.m. to noon on Thursday, June 23rd. An awards ceremony will conclude camp on Thursday at 11:30 a.m. The camp is open to ages 7-17, and costs $185. Lunch will be served Monday through Wednesday in an all-you-can-eat facility located on the Marshall University campus. Sibling discounts will be available. The cost of two campers is $335, while the cost for three is $475.
Little Herd Camp is for boys and girls ages 5 - 12, and costs $135. The camp will run 9 a.m. to noon, from Monday, July 11, to Thursday, July 14. Campers will play games while learning the basic fundamentals of basketball, including ball handling, defense and shooting form. There is also a sibling discount for Little Herd Camp. The cost for two is $250, while the cost for three is $345. An awards ceremony will conclude camp on Thursday at 11:30 a.m.
Each camper will receive a customized Marshall Basketball dri-fit shirt, water bottle, and other trinkets. There will also be personalized t-shirts for various games and competitions. The camps will also feature a concession stand, with plenty of food, drink, and snack options. Little Herd Camp will once again feature "theme days." Campers with the best outfits each day will win prizes.
Team camp is scheduled for Friday, June 17, and Saturday, June 18, and includes middle school junior varsity, middle school varsity, freshman, junior varsity and varsity divisions. There two packages for the team camps. The White Package is $250 and includes three games, while the Green package is $450 for six games.
Middle school team shootout is scheduled for Thursday, June 16, and includes junior varsity and varsity divisions. A high school team shootout is also scheduled for Friday, July 22, and is just like the team camp.
