Herd Women’s Basketball Looks to Build Momentum on the Road

Marshall to visit ULM and Arkansas State this week
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - The Thundering Herd women's basketball team travels to the Fant-Ewing Coliseum for the first time in program history to face the ULM Warhawks.
Freshman Meredith Maier, coming off an 11-point career-high performance, looks forward to continuing the momentum built in a victory over Sun Belt co-leader Southern Miss.
"Definitely staying hungry will be key," Maier said. "Now that we got that win under our belt, I think that we can keep moving forward.".

ABOUT THE WARHAWKS
ULM enters the week with a 6-13 record overall and 2-6 record in Sun Belt Conference play.
The Warhawks are first in the conference in blocks per game, and rank 18th nationally with 5.1 per game. This is thanks in large part to 6-5 graduate transfer Emma Merriweather.
The Kansas Jayhawk transfer leads the league in blocks, blocks per game, rebounds, rebounds per game, and double doubles. Both blocking statistical categories rank top ten nationally for Merriweather.
