HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The No. 1 Marshall University men's soccer team (11-0, 4-0 Sun Belt) welcomes the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers (3-4-3, 1-1-2 Sun Belt) for a Sun Belt clash on Friday night at Hoops Family Field.

PRE-MATCH NOTES

The Herd extended its winning streak to 11-matches with a 2-0 shutout over Georgia State on Saturday.
Matthew Bell tallied the first goal, and eventual game winner, in the 15th minute on assists by Adam Aoumaich and Pablo Simon, each their fourth assist of the season.
Aymane Sordo tallied MU's brace with a second-half goal assisted by Alexander Stjernegaard.
MU is the last team in the country with a perfect winning percentage having no ties or losses in its first 11 matches of the season.
In the Herd's last 17 contests, it has given up just seven goals, going 14-2-1 during that stretch.
Bell is having quite the sophomore campaign. The Kingston, Jamaica, is ninth in the country with 20 points on seven goals, tied for second in the conference, and six assists, second in the SBC.
Marco Silva has put together quite the redshirt freshman campaign. He sits at 16, ranking third in the SBC, and is tied for second in the Sun Belt with Bell at seven goals this season.
Gabriel Perrotta has recorded the victory in goal in all 11 of MU's contests this season with 6.5 shutouts. Perrotta's .867 save percentage ranks third in the nation with his .366 goals against average sitting in fourth.
The Herd leads the country in goal differential (28), ranks second in scoring offense (2.91 goals per game), and is third in goals (32), points (96) and goals against average (.364).

ABOUT THE CHANTICLEERS

Coastal Carolina enters the contest after drawing, 1-1, with Kentucky on Saturday in Conway, South Carolina.
The Chanticleers have been outscored 15-9 this season.
Chanticleers goalkeeper Kilian Vallant leads the SBC with 4.56 saves per game with a total of 41 saves this season.
