COACH KIM CALDWELL
- On March 27, 2023, the Coach Kim Caldwell era began for the Marshall University women's basketball program. Caldwell became the eighth head coach in the history of the Herd.
- Caldwell - the Parkersburg, West Virginia native - joins Marshall from Division II Glenville State, where she turned the Pioneers into a powerhouse, going 191-24 in seven seasons, winning the 2022 NCAA Division II Women's Basketball National Championship.
PRE-GAME NOTES
- Senior guard Abby Beeman posted a triple-double in the team's 121-55 home-opening win Monday. Since 2000, Beeman's 13 point, 11 assist, 10 rebound performance is the first recorded triple-double for Marshall women's basketball.
- Marshall's Roshala Scott is averaging 26.3 PPG after four games this season. The senior has reached double figures in all four contests.
- Marshall forced 38 turnovers in Monday's win, a program-best. The team also achieved program-bests in assists (37), offensive rebounds (31), and steals (30).
- Marshall and Wright State have met on 10 previous occasions, with the Herd winning seven of the contests. Marshall defeated Wright State 72-47 at the Cam Henderson Center last season.

ABOUT WRIGHT STATE
- Wright State enters Monday with a 3-2 record, winning three in a row after dropping its first two to open the season.
- Graduate transfer Alexis Hutchison is leading the Raiders with 16.2 PPG. The Malone transfer scored 26 in a win at Indiana State
- The Raiders were picked seventh in the Horizon League Preseason Poll. For perspective, previous Marshall opponent NKU were picked fifth.
