Herd Tennis Dominates on Day One of Liberty Hidden Dual #2

LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Marshall University Tennis team started the Liberty Hidden Dual #2 with 10 wins in 12 matches against the Georgetown Hoyas.

"It was a good first day," Herd tennis head coach John Mercer said. "We've been switching around doubles pairing a lot so it was good to see all four teams come through with wins"

The Herd swept doubles play with pairings of Sophia Hurrion/Aisling McGrane, Rieke Gillar/Doroteja Joksovic, Emily Schut/Johanna Strom and Gabrielle Clairotte/Andjela Lopicic all taking their contests over the Hoyas.

In singles play, McGrane, Hurrion, Gillar and Lopicic all took their matches in straight sets. Strom and Clairotte gutted out their singles matches in a supertiebreaker after dropping the first set in their respective matches.
