Know Before You Go - Football vs Georgia Southern

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Football is back at "The Joan" this week as Marshall takes on Georgia Southern at 7 p.m. on Saturday in the "We Are…Playing For The '75'" game. The game will be shown on NFL Network.
 
Game Day Timeline
 
Friday, Nov. 10th
4pm – 7pm – Stadium Store is Open
 
Saturday, Nov. 11th
9 a.m. – WAKE UP IT'S GAME DAY – WEAR BLACK
1 p.m. – West Lot Opens
4 p.m. – HerdZone Stadium Store Opens
4:30 p.m. – Thunderwalk – Make sure to get there early to ensure your spot! We will be handing out a Golden Ticket for a chance to be the Kickoff Kid.
4:45 p.m. – Fan Fest Begins – Located in front of the Marshall Rec Center. This is your chance to grab some BBQ, get your face painted, play on inflatables, and more. Fan Fest is open to all and free to attend. Food and drinks are not included. See here for more details.
5:30 p.m.– Gates Open!
7 p.m. – BEAT Georgia Southern

Veteran's Ticket Discount: If you are a Veteran, you can claim two (2) free tickets HERE, use promo code: VETERAN. The tickets will be sent digitally on Friday.
 
Herd Lights: Make sure to download to the app and be ready for the Herd Lights Show after the 3rd quarter hype video. You can download the app here.
 
Thunderwalk: Thunderwalk starts in the West Lot at the gate on 20th street, closest to Third Avenue, and continues through the parking lot toward Gate A. Our Cheerleaders are giving away 250 envelopes with ONE containing a Golden Ticket. The lucky fan who receives the Golden Ticket will be the Kickoff Kid. Thunderwalk starts at 4:30pm, but be sure to get there early.
 
Fan Fest: Fan Fest is located outside of the Rec Center and opens at 4:45pm. Be sure to come out and get your face painted while enjoying inflatables, magic, balloon animals and more. See here for more information

Clear Bag Policy: To enhance public safety and make stadium access more efficient, Marshall University Athletics has adopted a Clear Bag Policy. Fans may bring in one (1) clear bag no larger than 12" x 6" x 12" or a 1-gallon plastic storage bag. Fans are limited to one clear bag per person or a small clutch bag (no larger than 4.5" x 6.5") for privacy. For more information, click here.
 
Re-entry: Re-entry into the Joan C. Edwards Stadium is permitted at Gate B and E only!
 
Parking: Single game parking is available; (1) Third Avenue Parking Garage -Opens at 3pm - $20 (cash only), (2) State Electric Parking Lot - Opens at 5pm - $10 (All proceeds benefit the Marshall Cheerleading Program), (3) Old ACF Lot - $20 (All proceeds benefit the United Way of the River Cities).
 
ID Check: Fans can head over to the Fan Assistance tent located outside of Gate A to get their ID checked for Alcohol sales within the stadium. Please do so prior to entering the stadium to help eliminate time in line.
 
Thunderclap: Don't forget the Thunderclap is back! After every Herd touchdown, be sure to get on your feet and participate in the Thunderclap!
 
Exit Plan: Exit plan for leaving the stadium at the conclusion of the game can be seen below. Please note that traffic will not be able to turn onto Hal Greer when leaving via 3rd Avenue.
